Editorial Intern – Spring 2026
Kordell is a journalist, graduate student, and native Washingtonian in the Journalism and Public Affairs program at American University. Kordell is currently an Editorial Intern at Street Sense Media, covering homelessness in the district. He covered the Southwest Waterfront, Wharf, and U.S. Congress at American University’s graduate publication, The Wash. At The Wash, he covered a range of topics, including public policy, community affairs, and public health. Before his time at American University, he studied Political Science at Frostburg State University, earning a Bachelor of Science. He also enjoys occasional trips to the movies to review films and bike rides.
