Shani Laskin is a recent graduate from McGill University with a B.A. in Environment, Development, and Organismal Biology. There, she served as a managing editor at McGill’s largest student-run newspaper, The Tribune. Originally from Washington State, Shani recently moved to D.C. to pursue journalism professionally. She is passionate about producing thorough, accurate, and thoughtful reporting that uplifts perspectives often neglected by traditional media. When not writing, Shani can be found doing anything and everything — from reading to running to line dancing to practicing for open mic nights.
