A Motivational Film

First off, I am thankful for being an artist of Street Sense and being able to attend an event as a director from our film cooperative.

I really enjoyed the screening of Time Out of Mind.

Richard Gere was amazing and I will add that I have never seen him play that kind of role — he did SO good. I am glad he showed respect for the character in the film. That’s deep – to make up a character like George Hammond, and to be so on point.

Most importantly, Mr. Gere using his prominence in the entertainment industry to give people exposure to the struggles of homelessness is incredibly important. I’ve read about some celebrities that have been through homelessness, but I don’t always hear them talking about it or advocating for the homeless community.

Watching Time Out of Mind motivated me to continue to share my story and inspired me to do more work.
