I was born in Jamaica in 1976 and grew up with my brother and mother in a dysfunctional home. I moved to Montreal, Canada to live with my father in 1990. I would later develop shizoaffective disorder and go to jail. I learned French while incarcerated and began writing poetry. I was homeless between 2010 and 2011. I now live in Trois Rivières.
