Ayub Abdul was a Street Sense Media artist and vendor. He was born in New York and moved to D.C. at the age of 19. He received his GED in 2014 and, three years later, joined the National Coalition for the Homeless as a member of their “Faces of Homelessness” speakers’ bureau. In addition to public advocacy, Ayub enjoyed learning about Chinese culture through travel. He also teaches Tai’Chi and English as a second language.
