Atmika Iyer is a rising junior at UC Santa Barbara majoring in Global Studies and minoring in English. A journalist since freshman year of high school, Iyer hopes to use the written word and page design to compassionately share the stories of communities often ignored by the traditional news media. She currently serves as the editor-in-chief for the UC Santa Barbara student newspaper the Daily Nexus.
