Uno and Duos

This is a wonderful story about two kittens that came into my life, first and foremost to get rid of the mice.

Now that they are in my life, they have become the spice in my life. And, I say, double that because it’s twice as nice.

Yes, they have become my friends and family, something to talk to and take care of. That part of the day when I am most in need of company, they are oh so nice!

After Allah (God) put these cats, kittens, or critters – as some call them, in my life, I have had a busy, and entertaining learning experience, as well as a mice-free life.

Yes, everyone that meets them seems to fall in love with them, and doesn’t want to leave!

Now that I have them in my life, I don’t care too much for company.

They help me think and focus on what I need in my life and make me feel oh so nice.

Uno and Duos are two calico kittens with two different personalities, yet they look like twins, except for one who has one stripe on her nose, while the other has two stripes.

They are both always into things and following me to see what I’m into. They always try to help me, even when I am writing or whatever I’m doing.

Uno is the kitten that caught the first mouse, even brought a baby rat in through the window alive! I thought this was nice. She tossed it at my feet, still alive, and started to run around it and kick it. This scared me a little until Tracy, a friend of mine, helped me realize that this is the way a cat shows love and respect for its caregiver.

Uno and Duos used to sleep with me next to my ear, as if it was a nipple. My mother told me that this action goes back to her early days when she was still nursing with her mother. I was very touched by this act of love and trust. So much so, that it almost brought tears to my eyes.

Duos is the one that is the baby and does all of the mischievous things. She likes to poop in the tub, eat what she wants and cry’s for everything or ‘curses’ when she doesn’t get her way.

If you are around them you would see what I say is true, especially when one of them ‘curses.’ This could also be called ‘talking’. These antics make you love them more!
