To find the love of a Black woman
First, you must look —
Under her sadness
Past her madness
Through her tragedy of many years,
Of silently suffering
And shedding tears
Beneath her mask
And beyond their past,
Within her heart,
And into her soul;
Where her love is stored in stone
Safe and sound, and full of
warmth
For my Black women
