As I watch the local news on CBS, read the “Washington Post” newspaper, and listen to the gospel station, 105.1 FM — I hear news about wars and flooding, COVID-19 and terrorism, wildfires and other tragedies. And the list goes on and on.
In today’s world, we all need to put on the whole armor of God to protect us. Amen! Here’s one definition of “armor.” The Oxford Dictionary: “The metal coverings formerly worn by soldiers or warriors to protect the body in battle.”
The Holy Bible goes on to talk about spiritual “armor” in 2 Corinthians 6:7: “By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.” Amen!
Ephesians 6:10-18 again talks about armor: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”
By putting on the whole armor of God, you can help tackle this hard-to-tackle homeless “problem.” Amen!
It is truly a blessing when we can give cheerfully to those in need and receive cheerfully from those who just might have more than they need. Amen!
God gave His one and only begotten son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Give and it should be given back to you. Amen.
It’s better to give than to receive. Amen!
“Jesus saith to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh into the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)
