Happy New Year

Yes, it’s a new year, and I have plans to soar.
However, it’s the same old me and my lovely dear who’s here with me.
This hangover is real, he tells me to take a chill pill.
And no, whether or not my head, stomach and body keep feeling ill, I still have every good reason to say, “Thank you, new year.”
