God, my guardian

I was down the street from a shooting on 14 St. NW last month. I was just about to get off the bus in that area to hustle there. Glad I did not. I heard the shots but was thinking it was potholes in the street. The noise was loud and continuous. I assume it must be gunshots. I’m glad that I followed my instincts to go further down the street. Otherwise, I might be shot at or dead. I always be wondering why God never allowed me to be somewhere I want to be at. But God allow me to make it there when He already knows it’s safe.
