Fall Leaves

Graphic by Bruna Costa

By the leaves of fall, there is a season for us all

in those colorful leaves of life. Years

falling from the oldest and tallest trees the eyes

have ever seen, reaching new heights, waiting

for the day when the sky will drop like a

raindrop of life. Fall leaves fall crumbled and

black Mother Earth is where we’ll find you

until a new season of falling leaves. In a

voting season, can the leaves feel the tension

in the air? Will there be happiness or despair

as we prepare for cold, cold nights? How some survived

only The Lord knows. Those nights, those chilling

leaves of fall, falling in that morning dew, that

chill that grips your bones. The life lessons in

the leaves fall from the trees, the rakes, and the

leaf blowers, what else do I need but helping

hands? There is always a plan that has to be put in

place to remove the fallen leaves that

season. The rainbow of leaves seems so amazing, the sign

of the Lord as we look forward to Thanksgiving, that

season of giving and remembering the One who Lives

to do the Lord’s will, a New Year’s celebration

(a presidential inauguration) for America, the

great, and the land of many trees. May the Lord bless us

and give thanks for this season of life and

the most beautiful sight of fall leaves.
