Childhood flavor

When I think about the flavor of my childhood, the first thing that comes to my mind is fish and steak.

My grandma used to cook for us because my mom was in school. We were a big family; I had 10 brothers and a sister.

We were always in the house, all of us helping my grandma to make the food.

She was a great cook. She cared for us, so she ensured that all of us ate well. She did a great fish with broccoli.

I still have those memories with me, and now my favorite food is fish — and I am from Annapolis, and we had so much fish.
