Celebrating life

People always think about family and friends when it comes to holidays. People feel that without friends and family, there is nothing to celebrate on holidays. I say this is not the way it is.

You should learn your well-being does not depend on other people. Start with what makes you happy, self-assured and content. Build on that and ignore negative emotions, such as hurting someone. Instead, realize you have good health and it ain’t no sin to be glad you’re alive. Celebrate how often you look good. Stack your environment with items you like — soft colors, good food, movies and reading.

As the holidays approach, be happy with yourself and your life! If you don’t like something, change it. Never be down on yourself. Maximize the positive, minimize the negative and forget about the in-between.

Happy holidays to…me!
