Matthew Perra is an experienced communications executive with a 20-year track record of developing and leading strategic communications programs and impactful teams for some of the world’s leading business.
He currently serves as Vice President of Strategic Communications for UnitedHealth Group, a diversified health care company dedicated to helping people live healthier lives and helping to make the health system work better for everyone. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group in 2019, Matthew was Director of Government Relations Communications at Lockheed Martin, the world’s leading aerospace and global security company.
Matthew holds a B.A. in Business Communications from the University of Hartford and an M.B.A. from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Street Sense Media—a Washington, D.C., based non-profit whose mission is to end homelessness by empowering people in need with the skills, tools, and confidence to succeed.
Matthew lives outside of Washington, D.C., with his husband and their 15-year-old daughter.
