Allison Sherry

Vice President

Allison Sherry is the Washington bureau chief for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Before starting the gig in March 2014, she worked both in Denver and DC for The Denver Post. In addition to politics, Allison has covered K-12, higher education, health care, poverty and the 2008 and 2012 presidential races in her 13 years in daily journalism. She is a winner of several awards for writing, including the most recent 2012 David Lynch Prize for covering Congress. Allison grew up in western Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University in 2000. After college, she wrote for a weekly paper in Dublin, Ireland. In her spare time, she likes running, hiking, road bike riding and cooking rich food (which necessitates the aforementioned activities.) Allison lives with her boyfriend in the District and daydreams about getting a dog someday.

In March 2015, Allison stepped down from the board.
