They are there
Glorious hosts of heaven, immortal beings of fame
Mentioned throughout the Bible, each given their very own name
Gabriel delivers messages, Michael is the prince of war
I suppose time would fail me to tell of the many more
They possess miraculous powers, and are arrayed with splendor and beauty
Indeed to protect us is a part of their duty
They walk upon the earth traveling to and fro
Concealing their true identity, when in their presence you
Wouldn’t know
Perhaps it’s hard to believe, but this fact I’m compelled to share
For although we may never see them for us the angels are

Poetry to me is a way to vent and reminisce. I also write to enlighten, as well as admonish others about the reality of life. When I write, it’s rewarding to know that others can relate.
