Treasure Trove is closing! The landmark at 1305 G Street NW opened in 1946. I’ve been going there since I was 16 years old. I bought my high school sweetheart — my first love — a bracelet with hearts on it. I’ve bought several rings for myself.
I’m sad the store is closing. Mr. Mark, the owner, is retiring. He says the store will close sometime this month. But he isn’t closing. He’ll be at Benson Jewelry at 1331 F St NW. He’ll have a money exchange business, where you can trade foreign currency for American dollars as well as the reverse. I’m glad about that. And remember, spread the love!
