The Struggle

The struggle is real. I know there are people who know how I feel. The struggle is pain from family, friends, and the street. In the end, I end up getting beat. The struggle of trying to live and survive breaks my spirit and I feel I want to die. The struggle makes me cry and wonder why, why me lord, when all I do is try. The struggle of life isn’t a joke because of homelessness and being broke. The struggle is real, and no one hears it, so I count on my highest spirit. The struggle has me here for a purpose. I need to stay strong because I’m worth it. I will beat the struggle and not let the struggle beat me. Amen.
