The ‘Fly Stick’ comes to life!

Here I pulled a MacGyver! I now have a working prototype of my “Fly Stick” invention. People said I could not pull it off without a welder, but I did it with just screws and a drill.

Back in September you may have read about my invention. I had been relying on a cane since I sprained my hip in August. And I wanted to give it some flavor!

I found a local welder but was told it would take him four hours, at $100 an hour, to realize my design. I laughed and walked out!

She’s bling-blinging now. Shipping her to be dipped in chrome soon. But I can’t just yet. The screws allow the pieces to move around a little bit. And it needs to be stationary for that process.

So I bought a small Chicago electric MIG flux welder

Once I get it welded but before I send it off, I’m going to take it downtown one time to let all of my supporters — and possibly a few investors — see how magnificent and pretty she is.
