Technology is a very good thing. Remember that before technology, people had to look up words in the dictionary and research in the encyclopedia. Now, through technology, you can look up a topic you want to write about on a computer and learn about it faster and easier than you could with an encyclopedia or a dictionary. And remember the rotary telephone? We had to look up names and numbers in a small tablet book. Now you can fi nd those names and numbers with your mobile phone. You even have your phone book in it.
Yes, technology has its faults, its issues, and its problems. But if we didn’t have it and couldn’t use it, communication would be very slow. We would revert to typewriters and handwritten reports. And we wouldn’t get information flowing to the public as fast as we do now
