Means dipping in the water at Sandy Point State Park, letting those waves push your body off the ground. Enjoying the sand beneath those feet! Sitting on a big beach towel while you watch, then joining all kinds of people playing on the volleyball net.
Enjoying delicious fried chicken, watermelon, and Little Debbies! Sipping a margarita (beacharita?) while reading a compelling romance or adventure novel that makes the time fly away. Playing in the bay with a bright pink (is there another?) flamingo float, then laughing as you fall off it and bust ass to get back on it.
Then there’s going to visit family in South Carolina, which of course means stopping to shop at South of the Border. Today, we have Buc-ee’s that looks like a gopher, whose face is on every kind of shirt, mug, and hat. This store has everything you’re looking for when you’re traveling.
I hope other people will come and share this experience with me. Happy nightlife, having a seafood bash and dancing to loud R&B music. Remember, you may have to wear sleeves so the mosquitoes won’t eat you alive and leave big marks on your skin.
So, get out. Camp. Go to the beach. See the world. Shake your booty!!
