Street Sense is by and about the poor and the homeless.
Some of the people who buy Street Sense from me ask me if I’m angry. I have to tell them no. I told them I write about what I see around me but most of all what is going on in my part of D.C. In other words, I write about where I live or the truth about the D.C. I live in.
I told them the problems I talk about have to be solved by all of us. There are some of us or others who don’t have our best interests at heart, who would be glad to help us do everything we don’t need to do. Like help us sell each other more drugs and guns or help us rise up and be soldiers against the only country we know. But really our problems are not that hard to solve if those who have the power to solve them would stand up.
