Out with the old and in with the new

Today I was told aspiration comes
from within the time
we have for a new life.
If your favorite celebrations
are within the winter holidays
I will let you know we are
here for the new year coming.
Thanksgiving at the door
ringing the bell with Christmas
walking in the back door
and New Year’s hanging
on the roof.
Also may the winter days
bring in the new
and out with the old 2023
and in with the new
start of 2024.
