My new home

Vendor/artist Queenie Featherstone is still overjoyed and feels so blessed to finally be living in an apartment. She wakes up still with her heart filled with gratitude, thanking God almighty for keeping her alive and in good health. However, with the great faith that she has, and being around positive and strong-minded friends, Queenie pinches herself and cries out, “Thank you, God, this is really real. I’m not homeless anymore.” In gratitude, she writes this poem:

Merriment
You are welcome

No one left behind
Eat a meal with me
Willing to keep working hard

Hours of prayer time
Open 24/7
Maintain my business
Earn respect
