Memories

I could feel the closeness of the air when my mom would wake me up in the morning to a bath. She held me close to the stone so I could feel the heat. I was small, they say, and everyone wanted to make sure I was safe.

In a noble home, intimacy is part of life. Our space was cluttered. People felt love for one another. I remember feeling the largeness of the day, awakening in the tight space of our trailer home.
