Pow, pow, not the gun!
Fireworks and other quirks
of the holiday, as the children play.
With the sparklers, firecrackers and snakes.
For goodness sake, don’t lose a thumb or arm shooting cherry bombs.
Do take time to gaze at the displays in the air.
Next grab a chair then time travel back to 1776, what a year.
