Finding a new place

A few years ago, I found a new place for my family at Deep Creek Lake in Garrett County, Maryland. The town had everything we needed for our celebration, including a market selling fresh eggs, sausages, vegetables and other meats. All of this led to the fabulous Thanksgiving feast we were about to have. And, maybe best of all, the house was on the lake!

Even though I don’t like fish, I bought a fishing pole. It paid off when I caught two yellow perch and one bass. I cleaned them for my mother, who ate them with the eggs we bought at the market with some grits. What a wonderful, fabulous Thanksgiving.
