Saturday, June 27, the D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development partnered with the Greater Washington Urban League to host the Seventh Annual D.C. Housing Expo and Home Show at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

This free event included workshops on senior housing information, home purchase finance assistance, foreclosure counseling, free credit reports, youth financial literacy training, and more.

It attracted a full house despite the rain, leaving standing room only for the opening program.

Attendees were not only able to become more secure and informed regarding their financial future, but also participate in a raffle or get their face painted.

The exhibitors present were AARP, Citibank, PEPCO, Wells Fargo, Ameritech Construction, among other notable companies and organizations.
