Reminder

This is a reminder to all that summer is fast approaching. The winter shelters have shut down for hypothermia and soon it will be time for hyperthermia. Cooling centers will soon be open to provide people with relief from the coming hot weather. With the official and unofficial end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy has pushed many people to deal with difficult situations like evictions.

People are sleeping in abandoned buildings, park benches and in vehicles. Street Sense provides the opportunity for people facing such hardships with a chance to make some extra income. This opportunity is provided to all. A family from Romania who are in dire straits came to Street Sense the other week. These three individuals are now a part of our community. They will be selling the paper in Maryland and Washington, D.C. They will be selling mostly at an Aldi grocery store in Maryland. They need your support as well.

This is just a reminder that homelessness comes in all forms and affects people from all walks of life. In the past, we have had immigrants and refugees approach us for assistance. We continue to look forward to helping everyone we can within the confines of our organizational capacities. The so-called spokesperson for the group said that in the near future he will have a story for the paper.
