This Country Has Nothing For Us

I haven’t really celebrated the Fourth of July since I returned from military service. The way I was treated let me know that I will never be accepted as a citizen of the United States of America. I will never be seen above the status of a slave to these people. I was a homeless Vietnam vet, living on the streets of the nation’s capital.

All this country has for us is a jail cell and a grave.

I’m thankful for the God that loves me as long as I live right. I’ve found that I don’t have to live poor because I am poor. The God I serve takes care of all my needs. I don’t have to be on drugs or be a thief or kill my brother just because I am poor. I see this country reaping what it sows in sins against humanity.
