The things that hurt me the most

Harm’s way has never been my M.O.
No matter what I did in life, I always wanted to see people grow
The power of God, through me, has helped a lot of people eat
But just like Jesus took, I take a look
On that cross where he died for me
No matter how many stripes he was beat with,
I can take them, too
Why y’all not honest in this world?
Why take someone’s cellphone, boo?
Why rob innocent people that work hard for theirs,
And wonder why y’alls life is just a government stare?
Sitting and then waiting on a hand out
Do a job and wait for your boss to pay out
Hard work always makes me feel good
I don’t care if I make a dollar, I hustle hard in my hood
Y’all crabs in a bucket don’t wanna see each other grow
Why hate on each other left and right?
The same ones who smile in your face will rob you at night
They “Sis” and “Bro” and “Ma” you to death
But will rob you for your credentials to get personal wealth
I see why y’all parents are not in the picture
Because y’all still hard-headed, smell bad, and won’t listen
I try to help build y’all up and help y’all grow
But y’all rather freeze to death and smoke all day
That’s the things that hurt me the most

Word from Tent City Ma: Get up and clean up those encampments before the city makes them vanish.
