Happy New Year! I want to thank everyone for supporting Joe Jackson with the paper. Ever since I got my apartment some people tell me I don’t deserve one. I’m tired of all the negativity that’s been coming at me. But I have been staying strong. And I have been staying close to my mother because she has been sick and needs my help.
Sometimes I feel like people in the street are using me and my family. Even though I don’t have a lot, I try to help people in the street who are trying to help themselves, I am happy I have my apartment, so I can’t worry about what people think or say.
I miss my friend Charles Davis who died last year. He got a place in 2016, but only after being homeless for 28 years!
I’m just going to stay positive and keep putting God and my mother first.
