Start with respect

Respect me like I respect you.
Keep your head up and love in your heart,
Because I’ve been homeless myself before.

I was blessed to have a place to live.
My husband, Fred, took me in his home
And fed me and helped me a lot.

He is a very nice person.
It’s good to have people who care and love you very much.
And it’s very important to love yourself.

We believe ending homelessness begins with listening to the stories of those who have experienced it.
