What is lift?
When you try so hard
but nothing works.
Who do you go to
when your friends
are not really your friends?
I’m out on these streets
day in, day out
just trying to make
like everyone else.
But still I wonder,
Do they know
these dead streets?
So, what is lift?
When you try to be strong
but your heart is all broken.
I guess there is
nothing but sorrow
because that’s all that I get.
