REVIEW: R&B Superstar, Joe, Returns to Howard Theater

William Mack

R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer Joe put on a phenomenal show on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the illustrious Howard Theater.

He wore a blue crush velvet jacket & black tuxedo pants. He kept the crowd engaged while singing his hits, such as “I Wanna Know,” “Don’t Wanna be a Player” and “More & More.” My favorite, which brought the house down, was Joe’s version of Adele’s song, “Hello.” He did an awesome job singing.

The acoustics were just right for the venue. The atmosphere was very friendly, welcoming, and pleasurable. The crowd was huge—standing room only—which attendees didn’t seem to mind.

I enjoyed the show and would go again. Special thanks to the staff at the Howard theater, and marketing director Cooper London.
