Even though we’ve got vaccines starting to be available and more being developed, this virus is no joke. It’s up to all of us to keep each other safe. If you plan to be around anybody you don’t live with, make sure you all wear a mask.

People of any age can get COVID-19, even healthy young adults and children. But the CDC says people who are older and people who have certain underlying medical conditions are at higher risk of getting very sick from it. I hate worrying about where you could get it or who you could give it to. Infected people have experienced everything from no symptoms, to mild conditions to severe illness. You just can’t let your guard down. Especially since you can develop symptoms anywhere from between two days and two weeks after being exposed to it.

I keep hearing doctors on the news talk about having “herd immunity” once enough people get the vaccine. But I think we all need to get that shot if we’re going to get past this.
